Christiane Vleugels (1963) has been obsessed with drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. She used every available surface, including the walls of her parent’s house. Initially, her aim was to impress others. After that she painted to pay the bills. Her current style and finesse, however, were only achieved when Vleugels decided to paint solely for herself. In her search for pure beauty Vleugels opens doors to another world filled with passion and inventiveness. ‘To paint to my heart’s desire, that has always been my greatest challenge.’
