Michael Triegel, Revisiting the Renaissance

The classical paintings by Michael Triegel (1968) are reminiscent of Renaissance art and can be very hard to distinguish from their famous counterparts. His serene artworks combine Christian motives with ancient myths and legends from other cultures. The artist uses a set of soft, warm pastel colours and applies different techniques to create extremely lifelike textures and details in his artworks.
